BODYPEDIA
I’m an author and journalist, and co-director of emotivate, a healthcare advertising agency in Sydney, Australia.
My latest book, Bodypedia, is an eclectic collection of strange and amazing stories about body parts you never knew you had, from acetabulum to zygomaticus major.
Published by Princeton University Press, this compendium of tales from your entrails is available in bookshops and online, including here.
No matter who I am writing for, be it kids or the most highly specialised doctors, I combine creativity and technical rigor to tell captivating stories. That’s been recognised in the national journalism awards, and many international advertising awards I’ve won.
My other books are: There’s a Worm on My Eyeball! (Random House), and Who’s Who in the Alphabet Zoo? Can You Guess? which I wrote for my eldest daughter, Matilda (Ruby still needs one).

FAKING IT TO MAKE IT?
How fake happiness is anatomically distinct from the real McCoy
LUST IN TRANSLATION
How subconscious sexual signals may prick up our proverbial ears
ALLIGATORS ONLY SHED CROCODILE TEARS
How crying, sobbing and weeping sets you apart from alligators and other animals
HOLY HALITOSIS!
How morning breath smells of dead bodies and feces

I’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
